The Real Salt Lake's have joined MLS W.O.R.K.S. in their support of the Nothing But Nets campaign to save lives from this deadly yet preventable disease. Every year 350-500 million people are infected with malaria, and over one million of those infected die from the disease. Long lasting insecticide-treated bed nets (LLINs) can lower malaria transmission by up to 90 percent. Nothing But Nets is a global, grassroots campaign to save lives by preventing malaria, a leading killer of children in Africa.
